Andy Slattery's excellent run of form may continue with a win for SIR ALLEN who surprised his trainer with a recent Flat win at Navan after a lengthy absence. Likely dangers are recent Fairyhouse second Radiator Springs and Toll Stone who has not run since going close at Galway last summer. In a very open race, Straight John, Kamino Bello and Aguellid enter handicap company with fair prospects. Last year's winner Thanksforthehelp needs to retrieve form. [Alan Sweetman] Show less
Spotlight: Winning pointer; good run in third behind the useful Oldschool Outlaw at Naas in December before winning a maiden at Clonmel; backed that up with a pleasing second in a Fairyhouse handicap, strong contender.
Spotlight: French recruit, placed on his first three British starts before winning a 2m Wincanton maiden nine weeks ago; respected as one of two runners for the race sponsor who also has last year's winner Thanksforthehelp in the line-up.
Spotlight: Not disgraced on debut at Leopardstown when 14l sixth behind talented stablemate Ballyfad; ran as well as could have been expected behind hot favourite Leader d'Allier (previously second to Ballyfad) over 2m at this venue; short-priced winner here in February; outpaced at Naas last time, longer trip should help his cause.
Spotlight: Out of luck since winning this race last year; only 3lb higher now, and has to be taken seriously; Rian Corcoran has enjoyed a successful breakthrough season in Britain and claims a useful 4lb.
Spotlight: Faded from two out in 2m7f at this venue in February; much improved in a first-time tongue-tie when a 33-1 winner of a 20-runner handicap at Fairyhouse; definite chance off 7lb higher.
Spotlight: Won over 1m6f on the Flat at the 2024 Galway festival; never landed a blow when 6-1 for the big amateur handicap at the same fixture last July; different proposition later that week, only just denied in a valuable 2m1f handicap hurdle; could be a big player if fit and ready.
Spotlight: Overcame a long absence to win a 1m6f handicap at Navan a month ago; no success over hurdles since his juvenile season (course maiden winner) but managed a good third in a 2m4f Listed handicap at Naas last season; noteworthy runner for in-form stable.
Spotlight: Has done most of her racing over fences since a creditable fifth behind Thanksforthehelp in this race last season; led at the last then, faded in the closing stages; chase form disappointing since Listowel festival win.
Spotlight: Wide-margin winner of a maiden at Sligo last May; possibly unsuited by winter ground in novice races at Fairyhouse and Cork; jockey has enjoyed a fine campaign; not ruled out.
Spotlight: Has had a busy time since sent hurdling last August; three wins include two over 2m at this venue, including in a handicap with this rider aboard; form has been uneven; bounced back from a dismal Fairyhouse run when second at Navan, again for this rider.
Spotlight: Has been running well over longer distances than this; fourth off this mark at Clonmel last time after going up 6lb for a win at Downpatrick; rider has had an excellent season.
Spotlight: Still a maiden after nine attempts over hurdles; did well to finish third over 2m5f here on handicap debut in January; second reserve.
Spotlight: Best form has been in conditions races over longer distances than this; needs to find more on the evidence of a recent Wexford second; cheekpieces for the first time.
Spotlight: Runner-up in a point and placed in two bumpers; solid efforts in defeat in maiden hurdles last season; has been off for a long time.
Spotlight: Course 2m7f winner over fences; may have needed chase run early this month after a break; not without a chance despite a mark 6lb higher than his chase rating.
Spotlight: Lacks the advantage of a recent run; makes stable debut; Straight John appears to be the yard's main hope.
Spotlight: Chester Cup winner in 2021, also a 2m Curragh Group 3 winner in 2023; seven Flat wins in all; at the veteran stage now; four seasons since his only hurdles success.
Spotlight: Winning chaser; weak record (0-18) as a hurdler makes it hard to be confident; not a big price when down the field at Gowran on latest.
Spotlight: Consistent on good ground at around this time last year; less predictable later in the year; won on yielding-to-soft at Thurles in November; down the field at Leopardstown in December.
Spotlight: Maiden winner on good ground at Roscommon last summer; lame on only subsequent start; relatively unexposed; hooded for the first time on handicap debut.
Spotlight: Bumper winner; took a long time to open her hurdles account, winning in good style at Thurles in January on her 17th attempt; not a bad run in a Navan conditions race before putting a blot on her record when pulled up in Fairyhouse race won by Katie Daniels; first reserve.
Spotlight: Cork handicap hurdle win last season came at 3m (good); has been running over fences this season, overall form suggests a preference for further than this test.
Spotlight: Won a bumper last August (2m3f, good) and a Kilbeggan opportunity maiden hurdle in September (2m3f, good/yielding); nothing like as effective since then; improved ground and cheekpieces may be a help.
Spotlight: Winner of five races, up against it after failing to complete his last two starts; third reserve.
Spotlight: Two hurdle wins came in France early in his career; placed on the Flat on sole outing in 2025; struggled over hurdles at Thurles in January.
Spotlight: Maiden winner over 2m6f almost two years ago; has run only twice since then; poor effort over hurdles at Cheltenham in November after a satisfactory chase run at Downpatrick.
Spotlight: Maiden winner on good ground for Joseph O'Brien; well beaten in two outings for this stable.
Spotlight: Out of form on the Flat in recent months, poor form over hurdles since a maiden success at Limerick last June.
